Materials you can feel
Full-grain leather, heavy brass, silk that moves. If the hand of the material isn't right, the piece doesn't travel with me.
Craft over trend
I buy shapes that were right thirty years ago and will be right in thirty more — nothing seasonal, nothing disposable.
Quiet, never loud
The pieces I keep — and sell — whisper. Monogram done subtly, hardware worn to a warm patina, colour that lives with everything.
Condition like new
I look at corners, glazing, zippers and interiors before I look at anything else. Pieces come home only when they pass.
